<div itemprop="description">Joao (John) passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family on May 11, 2016 at the age of 71, after a prolonged illness. Devoted husband to Maria (Deolinda) for over 50 years. Father of Fatima (Jose Mario), John (Sandy), Pedro (Ana) and Elizabeth (Robert). Grandfather of Abraham (Sarah), Marcos, Andrew, Sarah, Samuel, Jacob, Lina and Rachel. Great-grandfather to Isabel, and soon to arrive second baby Nunes. Survived by his brother Antonio (Isabel) and sister Isabel (late Antonio Alberto). Many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly will fondly remember him. He will be missed by his buddy Chico (beloved pet)… <br>All who knew John were aware of how much he loved to be surrounded by family and friends. He loved his trips to Portugal and Florida, playing cards and "malha", and watching his grandchildrens' soccer games. <br>Many thanks to doctors and nurses at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their excellent care throughout John's stay. Your devotion and support will always be remembered. <br></div>
