Jože "Joseph" Pal
November 23, 1933 - June 3, 2016
Pal, Joseph (Jože) November 23, 1933-June 3, 2016
Passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 3, 2016 with his loving wife Majda (nee Šeme) of 52 years by his side. Proud father of Joe, Diana (Dan) and Johanne, and grandfather of Colin and Scott.
Joseph, one of 6 brothers and sisters, was born in Pince, Slovenia and immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1960. A tailor by trade, he opened his own store, Laval Leather, where he carefully crafted leather jackets. After hearing of an opening at the Chrysler Trim Plant in Ajax, he successfully transitioned to become an auto assembly worker, transferring later to the Chrysler Brampton Assembly plant before retiring with 16 years as a Chrysler employee to then tend to his garden full time.
The family is grateful to the nursing staff at Community Care Access Centre and Spectrum Health Care for their compassion and assistance over the last few months of his illness.
You are welcome to join the family for visitation on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 4pm-8pm at Brampton Funeral Home, 10061 Chinguacousy Road, Brampton. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 10am, with funeral service and reception to follow.
