<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter on Monday, January 25, 2016, at the age of 69, surrounded by his family. Born in Coatbridge, Scotland, coming to Canada in 1957. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nancy of 50 years. Dear father to Timothy (Marie), Juliana (Mark), John and Laura (Jason). Proud grandfather to Brittany, Erin, Sarah and Kaden. A great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Fondly missed by sisters Ethel and Ruby; predeceased by sister Helen and brother John. Peter had a zest for life enjoying being with family. He loved soccer and watching his grandkids play hockey. Peter was a long time employee of the Toronto Star, and also a long time employee at Vitran, and will be sadly missed by his work mates. Many thanks to family and friends for your strong support in this time of sadness and heartache, and for the caring support of the doctors and nurses through our hard time.</div>
