BARRETT, Lois Veronica
Peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in Ridgeway, Ontario, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of Oswald. Loving mother of Anthony, Ainsworth, Lauren, and adopted son John Wynter. Cherished grandmother of Sefton, Kyle, Jonathan, Aindrea, Brieann, & Kaylah. Devoted sister to Claudette, Neida, Carmen, Joyce, and Neville.
Lois worked as a successful officer of the Jamaica Constabulary Police Force. She married Oswald Barrett and gave birth to three beautiful children. The Barrett’s decided to migrate to Canada, whereby Lois pursued a new career in nursing and persevered with her academic studies while raising 3 children. Lois’ hard work and determination was a new chapter, when she proudly received her accreditation in Practical Nursing. Lois satisfied her dream and passion to retire in her homeland of Jamaica. Lois will always be remembered as a caring, loving, friendly pillar of strength to all of those she touched in Canada and Jamaica.
Visitation will be held at the Brampton Memorial Chapel & Visitation Centre 10061 Chinguacousy Rd (at Bovaird) 905-460-9155 on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 2 – 5 pm. Interment Jamaica, West Indies. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy’s Window Fund in Moneague, St. Ann, Jamaica, and W.I.
Cheque can be payable to the Church of God of Prophecy or direct deposit made directly into the National Commercial Bank, Moneague, St. Ann, Jamaica Account # 584030232
